Restaurant Nini
About This Spot
Stepping into Restaurant Nini, tucked away in the heart of Paris’s 17th arrondissement, feels like entering a familiar living room where laughter and conversation easily blend with the clatter of dishes and the low hum of shared stories. It’s the kind of place where time slows just enough to savor the atmosphere — a warm, welcoming sanctuary from the city’s inevitable rush.
The room carries the quiet intimacy of a neighborhood gathering spot, yet it buzzes softly with the rhythms of Tunisian hospitality and the rich traditions of kosher culinary art. Here, the pace is unhurried and the mood inviting, as attentive staff glide between tables with a practiced ease that feels personal rather than formal. There’s a genuine kindness at play, as if every guest is not just welcomed, but anticipated.
Meals unfold as communal celebrations with an array of modestly generous plates arriving steadily, inviting easy sharing and discovery. The array of salads, vibrant and varied, offers an ever-changing tapestry of flavors — fresh, bright, and thoughtfully prepared. The comforting heft of a couscous dish or a tender lamb shoulder speaks to generations of family recipes, passed down with care and affection. Fish dishes often arrive with delicate, nuanced touches that elevate simple ingredients without grandiosity.
Behind the food lies a sense of rootedness, a connection to sephardic heritage and Tunisian flavors that feels both authentic and lovingly preserved. The glass of kosher wine recommended by a waiter becomes more than a drink — it’s a sip of celebration, a quiet toast to the rhythms of local life and tradition. And as you listen to the conversations drifting over from adjacent tables, you can’t help but notice the unique blend of characters—neighbors, longtime regulars, and newcomers—all drawn together by a shared appreciation for honest, heartfelt food.
Restaurant Nini isn’t just about filling the plate; it’s about filling the moment with warmth, familiarity, and convivial spirit. Whether you come for a casual meal after a day of wandering Parisian streets or a special evening shared with friends, it’s a place that leaves you feeling part of something quietly enduring.

Had dinner last night. The staff was very friendly and helpful as there was no menu in English. Within minutes the table was filled with little plates of different salads one better than the other. On waiter recommendation I ordered a bottle of wine that was fantastic, best Kosher wine I had in a long long time. I ordered the Lamb Shoulder it was made to perfection. The staff was friendly, the food was excellent I recommend, give it a try.

A very good Tunisian kosher restaurant in the 17th arrondissement of Paris. Don't miss their couscous and other Tunisian food.

Food is very good and plentiful. If you order the kemia (plenty of little salads) and a couscous, you will eat like crazy at a decent price. This is not gastronomie but jewish maroccan mother trying to kill you with too much love. Most important, the customers are sephardims with huge gold Rolex talking like mafiaso when they are accountants and pharmacists. Watching, listening, interacting is the very best part of the spectacle. Do not finish the couscous or you will regret it. It is too much good conforting food.
